Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Review...

Since beginning my healthy hair journey almost 6 months ago, I have become such a product junkie.
I literally trawl the web, reading blogs and watching vlogs to hunt down my next hair care fix.
Not only is this costing me an absolute fortune, it has made my hair product collection ridiculously huge and I am running out of places to store my ever expanding range.
I'm still not done yet though. Lol!

The latest addition to my stash is from the Organix range. This line has been raved about on many blogs and I thought it was about time I saw what all the fuss was about.
There are different ranges and 'flavours' to choose from including: Coconut Milk, Tea Tree mint , Brazilian Keratin Treatment, Macadamia oil, Cucumber Yogurt and soooooo much more.
I was so overwhelmed with choice that I decided to play it safe by opting for the Moroccan Argan Oil collection, choosing the shampoo, conditioner and penetrating oil.

I decided to change up my routine a little this wash day and thought I'd try out the conditioner first method. This literally means that you condition your hair before you shampoo it. I don't think that there are specifically any benefits to choosing this method, it just means that you only go in the shower once instead of shampooing, conditioning with heat, then washing out which saves you time and water.
So after spraying my hair with water, I used quite a generous amount of this product to really saturate each strand of my hair, ensuring that I paid attention to the ends of my hair which are prone to breakage.
Not only was the smell of this product simply divine, it had a gorgeous golden colour that was thick and creamy and clearly infused with a whole lot of goodness.
I did my usual wrapping my head with clingfilm and going under the dryer malarkey which allowed the product to penetrate the hair shaft better.
What I loved most about this product is the fact that it is free from sulphates and parabens which just means that it won't strip the hair of its natural oils, which you could really feel when rinsing it out.
It left my hair really soft and fluffy and most of all completely moisturised.

Now to the shampoo....

This shampoo is hands down the best shampoo I have ever used!
Usually after I have shampooed I feel like pouring a litre of olive oil onto my head to get some moisture back into my hair, but this this shampoo did just that, whilst cleaning my hair and getting rid of the weeks build-up.
Like the conditioner, it was thick and creamy and looked like liquid gold, and smelt pretty damn good too. I didn't find myself using a great amount which I normally do with my other shampoos which is definitely a good thing. Again, this product left my hair feeling soft and fluffy, with a delicate scent to it.

And last but not least....

So this didn't necessarily blow me away like the shampoo and conditioner did, but I do like it a lot.
I found this oil thinner than what my hair needed and felt like it would have been a better product for non Afro hair.
I think this oil is best used after using a moisturiser to seal the ends and to control unruly fly aways, but in terms of using it to deal with breakage or to use on the scalp, I don't think it does the job.
I think I will be mixing this with my oil concoction which includes Castor oil, Grapeseed oil and Jojoba oil to strengthen it, but all in all, if your looking for a light oil to neaten your hair and add shine, then this is perfect!

Overall, I am loving the Organix range and I am looking forward to trying out the Coconut Milk products, especially the anti breakage serum and some of the Macadamia oil range. Although slightly pricier than what I normally buy, I do think it is worth the money. I won't be using it every wash day, but I will be using these products every now and then to give my hair a real treat.
I got these products off eBay but you can get your hand on the Organix line in Boots.

Have you tried any Organix products yet?

  1. I agree the Organix shampoo and conditioner is fabulous! my hair as I've got older, has turned to Frizz. after using this shampoo and conditioner, it's soft, shiny and wavey again with NO Frizz! Tesco sell this Organix range at a reasonable price too.
